At Church of the Free Speech, we believe expression of diverse views fosters a community open to dialogue, that encourages challenging our own preconceptions and values personal growth.
Suppressing bigoted views does not make them disappear. It pushes them deeper underground, where they fester and metastasise unchallenged, until they shock society when they rear their ugly heads. Inviting radical and/or extremist views into the public square allows policymakers to identify genuine, albeit misdirected, concerns and simultaneously address underlying misinformation. If we don't know the propaganda, we can't debunk it!
